Our Authentication Promise

The trading-card market has fakes. We know it. You know it. Here's what we do about it.

Every raw single is hand-checked

We inspect each card under a 30× loupe and a black light before listing. We look at the rosette pattern, the texture of the holo, the fonts on the back, the cut, the weight, and the feel of the cardstock. Anything that doesn't sit right gets pulled, full stop.

Every slab is verified by cert number

Before a graded card hits our store, we confirm the cert is real on the grader's official lookup — PSA Cert Verification, CGC Cert Verification, or BGS Cert Verification — and we check the card visible in the slab matches what the cert says.

Every sealed product is sourced traceably

Sealed booster boxes, ETBs, and collection boxes come from authorized Canadian distributors or vetted re-sellers. We never sell sealed product we can't trace. We photograph the factory seal before shipping; if you receive a product where the seal looks tampered with, do not open it — contact us immediately.

The promise

If a card you bought from Encased is ever determined to be counterfeit by a recognized grader or authentication service, we'll refund you in full, no questions, no time limit. We're confident enough in our checks that we're willing to back them indefinitely.
